Functional lab testing adds context beyond standard bloodwork by looking at patterns from at-home labs like stool, urine, saliva, and food reactions. It’s not “more tests for the sake of tests”—it’s a way to connect the dots when you feel off, but basic labs don’t explain the full picture.
Most people only know bloodwork. Functional lab testing can help you see what may be influencing digestion, energy, cravings, and hormone signals—so your next step is more targeted and less trial-and-error.
You receive a lab kit shipped to your home, follow simple instructions, and send it back to the lab. Then we review results together and turn them into a clear plan. In most cases, you don’t need a physician to order or approve these kits through my process.

If you’re unsure, the fastest path is the Health & Performance Assessment, which helps us choose the best starting point without guessing.
Yes. If you don’t have recent labs, you can still get them without a doctor’s order and pay out of pocket. I’ll point you to a few options (including discounted panels) and where to get your blood drawn. Once you have results, you upload them and I run your FBCA.
Your options include asking your doctor to order labs, or ordering panels yourself and getting blood drawn at locations like Quest or LabCorp (note: NY/NJ/RI restrictions may apply).
If you already have bloodwork (ideally within the last 3–6 months), you can upload it and I’ll analyze what you’ve got using FBCA. You can choose FBCA Report Only or FBCA Report + Consultation to review results and build a clear plan.
If your labs are older than ~6 months, you can still start with a report for insight, and then do updated labs later so we can compare trends and refine recommendations.
I don’t prescribe, adjust, or manage medications. I support the lifestyle inputs that make results easier to maintain—nutrition, blood sugar stability, strength training, and sleep/stress strategies. When helpful, I also use at-home functional lab testing for deeper insight and may recommend targeted supplementation based on your data. I recommend keeping your prescribing clinician informed.
